Glamping in Sweden
The Greenstones Yurts are nestled behind an old farm on the lush island of Flatön, Bohuslän, Sweden. The Bohuslän archipelago is, according to CNN, ‘one of the world’s 10 last great wilderness areas’.
The yurts are surrounded by oaks, birches and Scots pine and are completely private. A stay in our yurts is a wonderful way to re-connect with nature and take a break from the rush of ordinary life. It’s truly a ‘Glamping’ (Glamorous Camping) holiday experience.
The Greenstones Nature Spa facilities are available to our yurt guests. We have a heated Watsu (Water Shiatsu) pool as well as a wood-fired sauna. We also have a wood-fired hot tub available (weather permitting).
For a truly relaxing experience book a Watsu session with one of our trained practitioners. Watsu is a safe, relaxing and invigorating water-based massage, and is suitable for people of all ages.
The Green Island
Greenstones is located in the middle of the island of Flatön. The sea is not far away, only 400 or 1200 metres depending on which side of the island you are heading towards. There are plenty of leisurely walks through oak forests and along heather-lined coastal paths.
Flatön is a great place for kayaking, hiking on the ‘Kuststigen’ and, sea temperature permitting, salt water swimming. There is a kayak rental business just down the road from Greenstones and, in the summer, Handelsman Flink has a restaurant.
There are a number of picturesque towns within easy driving/ferry distance. Lysekil, Mollösund and the island of Gullholmen are all popular destinations.
